MakersValley connects boutique owners and fashion entrepreneurs with 150+ vetted Italian manufacturers to help you launch your own private label clothing line, with no markups and no minimums.

When you create a MakersValley account, you can tell us all the details about your garment design (ie. fabric color, size, etc) and upload photos of your garment sample or your sewing pattern file. Once you select your MV membership plan and list your design on the platform, you’ll receive bids from our network of 150+ highly-vetted Italian manufacturers and artisans. You’ll receive bids from our manufacturers to sample and mass produce your design. Once you approve a bid and your sample purchase order, you'll receive your sample in six weeks. Give us your sample feedback on the platform, and then you can either approve your first production order, make your design in different sizes, or make a second sample with changes. Your MV account manager will guide you through the process and will help get your order shipped from Italy to your doorstep. 

Here's what you'll pay:

MV Membership Plan ($99/$199/$499): Depending on which membership plan you choose, you'll pay $99, $199, or $499 per month for the MakersValley service to manage your supply chain for you in Italy. 

+ Sample ($?): You'll approve the sample price in your manufacturer bid. We'll send you an invoice for your sample and shipping it to you from Italy.

+ Production ($?): You'll approve the production price in your manufacturer bid. If you have any changes in your production quantity, let your account manager know when you approve your sample so they can send you the correct production invoice. We'll send you an invoice for your production order, shipping, and customs duties. 

You can get a free production estimate so you can start planning financially for your first production order. 

You can update your payment method anytime from your MakersValley account. Our customers pay their monthly MV membership on the same day each month which is billing to their credit card in your account. All sample, production and shipping invoices paid by our clients are also billed to your credit card in your account. We streamline all payments to your manufacturer for you, so that you can spend more time designing and we can manage your supply chain for you. 

The MakersValley platform is secured with end-to-end encryption. In addition, MakersValley uses a third party payment processor to manage all of your payments securely, 24/7. All of your financial information is safely guarded and is never stored on our platform. 

Our third party payment processor has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. 

When you create your MakersValley account, you'll need to complete your MakersValley profile with the address where all of your prototypes and production orders will be shipped. If your shipping address is in New York or Missouri, you'll be asked to upload your Sales Tax Resale Certificate.

If you do not live in New York or Missouri and do not have a Sales Tax Resale Certificate, you are responsible for paying sales tax on your annual tax return for any products you do not collect sales tax from your customers on. You should consult with your personal accountant for tax advice.  

If you live in New York State and do not have a Sales Tax Resale Certificate, you will be charged sales tax on all of your invoices at the sales tax rate where your prototypes and production orders are being delivered, which is the address in your MakersValley profile. Your New York sales tax rate could include a combination of state, county, city, and district tax rates.

If you live in Missouri and do not have a Sales Tax Resale Certificate, you will be charged a 9.179% sales tax rate on all of your invoices from MakersValley for prototypes and production.

If you have only a sketch, drawing, or an idea in your mind for your clothing line, we suggest that you work first with a local pattern maker to get a pattern or sample made, then contact MakersValley once you are ready to send us your pattern/sample. 

If you have a sewing pattern or physical garment sample, MakersValley is perfect for you. When you submit your design on the platform, you'll be assigned a dedicated Account Manager that will be with you at every step of the manufacturing process and send you messages on the platform. Your monthly MV membership will be billed automatically to your bank account every month on the day you signed up for MakersValley. Your monthly billing will only stop once you've canceled your account. 

Once your project status changes to Sampling or Production, the manufacturer has already started making your product, and your MakersValley account cannot be canceled or suspended for any reason. 

However, your account can be canceled anytime and with no fees as long as your project is not currently in Sampling or Production status.

If you cancel your MakersValley account during a billing cycle, you will not be refunded a portion of that billing cycle, however, your membership will run through to the end of the current billing cycle and you will not be charged again. 

When you cancel your MakersValley account, you'll be sent a final shipping invoice and all of your patterns, samples, and any other materials we have for you will be shipped back to you. Your projects will no longer be accessible. 

To cancel your MakersValley account, log into your account, click your avatar photo icon, click Account, and click Cancel Subscription under current subscription.
